What we offer
What the Community Hub does
Our Community Hub brings together furniture reuse and practical support. Working with trusted local organisations, we help households set up a home, run friendly community sessions, offer a reliable handyman service, and connect people with the wider help that's available across Doncaster.
Furniture support through referral
When a household is setting up or refurnishing a home in difficult circumstances, our partner organisations can refer them for furniture support. Referrals are handled sensitively and in confidence.
Community sessions
Welcoming, open sessions where people can meet others, pick up practical skills and find out more about reuse. Everyone is welcome.
Assisted relocation
A discreet, confidential service that helps people move home safely when circumstances demand it, always handled with care, privacy and respect.
Working with partners
We work with charities, support workers and community groups across Doncaster. Where someone needs support beyond furniture, we can introduce them to the right partner (with their agreement) so nobody has to navigate things alone.

Furniture support, step by step
Support through the Hub is arranged by referral, through local organisations who already understand a household's circumstances.

The Community Hub is here for people across Doncaster who could use a hand, whether that's furnishing a new home, meeting others locally, or finding the right support. Our community sessions are open to all.

Talk to someone who knows you
If you're working with a support worker, housing officer or local organisation, ask them about a referral to Doncaster Refurnish.

They refer you in confidence
Your organisation makes the referral on your behalf. Everything is handled sensitively, between them and us.

We arrange the rest
We work with your organisation to sort the furniture support you need, handled with care, privacy and respect.
